Tabitha - Mama Bare
My name is Tabitha; my husband and I and our two boys live in Whitehouse, TX. I became a doula because I am passionate about health and supporting women in all aspects of pregnancy, including labor & birth, nursing & newborn care, and postpartum support. Using natural and holistic practices, I provide support either in a hospital, birthing center or at-home birth. My training is through Dona International, the leader in evidence-based doula training, certification and continuing education. If you are looking for a Doula or have questions about what a Doula can do for you during your birth process then you have come to the right place and I would love to support you. Serving the Tyler, TX and surrounding area.
What is a Doula?
The term doula comes from a Greek word meaning “a woman who serves.” A doula provides you information about your birth options and help you create a plan that’s right for you and your partner; she acts as a link between you and your medical care team during labor and birth. Studies show mothers who have a doula on site to give physical and emotional support may need less pain medication. A doula’s presence during labor and birth improves the outcome for both mom and baby.
How does it work? What does it cost?
We will do an initial meet to see if we are a good fit. As required by my certification organization, we will sign a confidentiality release form to get started. We will discuss the various options and your needs. When we sign a contract, there is a non-refundable deposit. In general, prices will range from $750-$1500, with the full fee dependent on the services you request. After a free first consult you'll receive package options.

"My husband and I are forever grateful for the support we were given during my labor and delivery. Tabitha guided my husband so that he was a support for me. She helped me through the hard contractions and reminded me of my grounding plan and breathing exercises. I could have my baby the way I wanted to - naturally. My husband and I agree that my labor would only have gone as smoothly with her guidance. We thought we were being clever when we scheduled classes as close to the due date as possible, and our child decided he would come early before our scheduled course. We had to go into this blind and depended heavily on Tabitha. I am also grateful for her continuing support after the birth and when we left the hospital. Overall, I had an incredible experience working with her."
